Match People

Match was set up by Christian Hughes with the support of John Radcliff and Mike Paul. It was established to address a niche in the drinks and wine markets: the provision of  talent based on a combination of scientific evaluation of candidates capabilities and cultural alignment with potential employers.

Christian Hughes

Christian is our Managing Director with numerous years of international experience in the search and selection industry. He is a qualified sommelier and has worked with the largest and smallest drinks and wine companies providing key people over the last 6 years.

He leads the business with a combination of innovative approaches to client challenges and absolute customer focus that ensures clients get the right people first time.

He provides in-depth knowledge of the wine and drinks sector to executives and managers and has set up information sharing services (Match DataWorks) and career counselling for people in the sector through the industry education institute (WSET).

Liam Hughes

Liam is a researcher with a business start-up background. He drives the candidate search process, assessing capabilities and potential matches with client requirements.  He also heads up research on company profiling and business climate briefings.

John Radcliffe

John is highly respected expert in the wine and drinks field operating his own successful consulting business. He provides strategic and executive support to Match.

Mike Paul

Mike is a seasoned executive leader within the wine trade and provides high level strategic market and economic input to the Match board.

Graham Hughes

Graham is an international management consultant in the fields of business development, change management and people development.

He provides business management support in Match and specialist consultancy support in the areas of change, growth and improvement to our clients.
